I am Professor of Neurology and subject coordinator for Clinical Neuroscience, a broad field encompassing several areas of research. My research is clinical and translational and focuses primarily on hydrocephalus, particularly normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), with an emphasis on epidemiology, neuroimaging, and diagnostics. Our multidisciplinary research group works to improve and standardise diagnostic procedures so that patients with NPH receive the correct diagnosis and have access to effective neurosurgical treatment.
Other research areas include headache and migraine. My research is conducted in close national and international collaborations.
I am involved in teaching, primarily medical students but also other healthcare professionals. I also work clinically as a senior consultant in neurology and participate in various forms of collaboration and outreach.
