My research is grounded in feminist bioethics. I develop ethical analyses across areas such as palliative care and neonatal care, often by combining qualitative methods with ethical analysis (empirical ethics). In recent years, my work has been shaped by interdisciplinary collaborations that integrate perspectives from the medical humanities, phenomenology, and intersectionality in analyses of issues arising at the intersection of lived experience, medical practices, and biomedical technologies.

I teach primarily within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels in areas including philosophy of science, qualitative research methods, ethics in world religions, and medical ethics.
I am course coordinator for The Philosophy of Medicine in the Master's Programme in Ethics, Science and Policy.
At the doctoral level, I teach on the course Engaging with Normativity: Normative Embodiment and Normativity in Medical/Technological Knowledge Practices and Policy-Work.
Doctoral supervision
I serve as assistant supervisor for two PhD-students:
- Petter Almqvist-Ingersoll studies how people develop individual and collective understandings of medical diagnoses and health through an empirical study of post-Covid.
- Liucija Adomaite studies the horizons of chronic illness and the limits of language within the field of medical humanities.
