Link枚ping University is hosting a regional heat of the Research Grand Prix, where the winner will advance to the national final in Stockholm. The competition is less about the research topic itself and more about the art of communicating research. Contestants have just four minutes to present their research in an engaging and inspiring way to an audience and a jury. In many ways, it is like the TV talent show Idol, but for researchers.
Invited upper secondary school students will make up the core audience and will vote for their favourites. A three-member jury representing academia, media and the performing arts will also award points to the contestants.
