The Kalas event
Are you ready to celebrate your new life as a student? The Kalas event is the grand finale of all the welcome activities ÌÇÐÄÖ±²¥ (LiU) offers new students.
Thank you for Kalasmottagningen 2026
Another Kalas has come to an end, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed.
We are already looking forward to the next Kalasmottagningen on 3 September 2027!
One of Sweden’s largest welcome parties for new students!
Why the Kalas event?
Kalas is an event for all students at Linköping University. The event aims to welcome new students to LiU but, of course, all students are welcome.
The Kalas event is carried out by LiU in association with Linköping Municipality, Norrköping Municipality and Region Östergötland.
The Kalas event collaborates with Bonfire Festival in Linköping, a major music festival. As a LiU student, you get discounted tickets, a separate entrance, and much more.
The Kalas event truly has it all
